Mechanic - Night Shift

Hours: 11:00pm u2013 8:30am Monday through Friday
Job Description u00A0 Martin Marietta is seeking a Mechanic to operate service trucks and provide support at Randolph Mine working on and maintaining mining and construction Equipment. Job duties include but not limited to trouble shooting and repairs of heavy equipment, minor rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, repairing/replacing hydraulic lines, pumps, driveshafts, brakes, hydraulic cylinders, basic wiring troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on all types of diesel-powered equipmentu
00A0 Qualifications u00A0

• 3-5+ years of experience performing service repairs on Heavy Equi
• Knowledge of mining equipment a
• Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools, torque wrenches and impact wrenches and follow Technical Manual proceduresu

• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of equipmentu
  00A0
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposesu
  00A0
• Proficient oral and written communication skillsu
  00A0
• Must be able to bend, stoop, stand and lift 75 pounds continually throughout shift (8-12 hours.)u00A0
• Must be able to work under stress and prioritize work requirements to meet the overall operational requirementsu
  00A0
• Must be able to work in both hot and cold environmentu
  00A0
• Must be dependable, consistently at work and on time, follow instructions well, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve perfor
• Demonstrated ability to monitor their own work to ensure accuracy and quality is essentialu

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience requiredu
  00A0
• Valid Commercial driveru
  2019s license with a clean driving record is requiredu

• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screeningu

• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionu

• Able to work in an underground
