Position Overview

We are seeking skilled, detail‑oriented Low Voltage Technicians to join our nationwide rollout team. Technicians will work in 2‑person teams to complete structured cabling installations, operate lifts, document work, and ensure high‑quality craftsmanship at every site. Candidates must be reliable, organized, and capable of meeting nightly project goals while overcoming on‑site challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structured cabling upgrades and new installations, including CCTV, access control, wireless access points, and network infrastructure.
  • Run and terminate Cat5 and Cat6 network cables in commercial environments.
  • Install commercial‑grade CCTV, mount cameras, run video/data cables, and connect to recording systems.
  • Install access control hardware such as card readers, electric strikes, and control panels.
  • Install and configure wireless access points for optimal coverage.
  • Operate scissor lifts and boom lifts safely and efficiently for elevated installations.
  • Use hand and power tools such as drills, cable testers, and crimping tools.
  • Interpret basic construction drawings and cable layouts.
  • Follow job‑site safety protocols, including PPE usage and fall protection.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other trades and supervisors.
  • Travel nationwide on a “road warrior” schedule, often 2–3 months per assignment.
Qualifications
  • Intermediate level experience in low‑voltage and structured cabling.
  • Proficiency with Cat5/6 cable installation and termination.
  • Experience with CCTV, access control, and wireless access points.
  • Operating scissor or boom lifts.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and independent problem‑solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and undergo training.
  • Valid driver’s license; clean driving record.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly rate $19.00 – $21.00 / hr, overtime paid, plus a tax‑free daily per diem of $125 ($80 lodging, $45 meals).
  • Benefits may include medical, dental & vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability coverage, HSA, transportation benefits, and paid time off.
  • Contract position based in Kansas City, MO, with travel to distribution centers, warehouses, and fulfillment centers.
Required Tools
  • Safety shoes, snips, punch‑down tool, cable tone generator, needle nose, pliers, RJ45 crimpers, stud finder, large & small Phillips screwdriver, standard flat screwdriver, electrical tape, knife/utility retractable blade.
