Guest Services Specialist (Evenings) (Bilingual in Spanish Preferred) Overview
As a member of the Guest Services team, this position will be the first and lasting impression for our patients and families and will support creating a welcoming environment consistent with our hospital values and culture of Patient and Family Centered Care. They will be an advocate, liaison, and problem solver for patients and visitors who enter our facilities and possess superb customer services and hospitality skills.
They will facilitate the check in process for the hospital and assist the Guest Services Coordinators with carrying out responsibilities that improve the patient and family experience.

Vaccination requirements:
Because we value the safety of the patients and families we serve, and the Children's Mercy staff, the seasonal influenza vaccine is a condition of employment for all employees. New employees must be willing to be vaccinated if found non‑immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chickenpox (varicella) and/or without evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005.
You will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be discussed with Human Resources.

- Serve as a patient family advocate, provide effective communication, engagement, and problem solving for guests.
- Collaborate with Guest Services Leadership to perform additional responsibilities that will support improvement in the patient family experience.
- HS diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years experience Hospitality or Customer Service Experience.

Starting PayOur pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $17.67/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
