We are seeking a Mental Health Provider to join our Grandview Middle School team.
Starting Salary: $50,000 - $55,000
Bonus: $2,500 (includes $1,000 Sign‑on bonus paid on first paycheck and $1,500 Retention bonus paid after 12 months of service)
This role will support students, families, and district personnel in the Grandview School District's two middle schools to address personal, emotional, and social problems that interfere with school adjustment and promote students' academic success following a school social worker model. The position is full‑time, 12 months per year: nine months of services are provided in the district's two middle schools, and three months over the summer extend services to identified students and families with individual and/or family support in school, home, and the community.
Whatyou will do
- Provide consultation to building administrators and teacher support teams on issues related to mental health
- Provide assessment of and direct therapeutic services to students at the middle school level, and/or their families, who are experiencing social and emotional problems at school
- Provide traditional school social work support to students and/or their families at the middle school level, as needed, to provide options and referrals to ensure community available resource acquisition
- Provide direct mental health services to at‑risk students at the middle school level
- Participate in agency and district in‑service training as requested and appropriate
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed
Our ideal candidate will have experience working with this population and the following:
Requirements- Must be currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in social work, marriage and family therapy, or as a licensed professional counselor
- Familiar with implications of trauma, attachment, and diversity
- 1–2 years of experience working with this population
- At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening
- A valid driver’s license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
- Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or professional counseling
- Provisionally Licensed Professional (e.g., LMSW, PLPC, LMFT)
- 3–5 years of experience working with this population
