M & D Mechanical Contractors is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Coder to join our team in Kansas City, MO. As a leading mechanical contracting company, we specialize in providing top-quality services to our clients in the commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors. We are looking for a talented individual who is passionate about coding and has a strong background in programming languages and software development.

As a Senior Coder, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting software applications and systems. You will work closely with our team of developers, designers, and project managers to ensure that our projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards. Your role will also involve mentoring and guiding junior coders, reviewing code, and implementing best practices to improve our coding processes.

• Develop and maintain software applications and systems using various programming languages and tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement solutions that meet business requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
• Review code written by junior coders and provide constructive feedback
• Implement coding best practices and standards to ensure high-quality and efficient code
• Mentor and guide junior coders to improve their coding skills
• Stay updated with the latest coding trends and technologies to continuously improve our development processes
• Communicate effectively with team members and project managers to provide updates on project progress and any potential issues
• Participate in code reviews and provide suggestions for improvement
• Adhere to project timelines and meet project deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and coding
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
• Experience with web development and front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and Java Script
• Familiarity with database management and SQL
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in mentoring and guiding junior coders is a plus
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is preferred
• Must be able to work full-time in Kansas City, MO, USA
