Local / City Cartage – Home Every Night Job Overview We are hiring experienced Class A CDL Local / City Cartage Drivers to handle local freight transportation and delivery operations. This position is ideal for professional truck drivers looking for competitive hourly pay, consistent local routes, and the ability to be home every night.
Drivers will operate a 53-foot dry van trailer while transporting freight throughout the local area. Qualified candidates must hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A), maintain a current DOT medical card, and have a clean driving record.
Earn $30 per hour while enjoying the benefits of local driving and nightly home time!
Key Responsibilities Operate a tractor-trailer combination with a 53-foot dry van trailer safely and efficiently.
Transport and deliver freight along designated local and city cartage routes.
Perform local pickups and deliveries while maintaining scheduled delivery times.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
Ensure freight is transported safely and securely.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
Follow all applicable DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety procedures.
Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel.
Maintain a clean and organized truck and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Required Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).Clean driving record.
Ability to safely operate an automatic tractor-trailer with a 53-foot dry van trailer.
Ability to navigate local roads and city driving conditions.
Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.
Ability to complete required vehicle inspections and maintain DOT compliance.
Pay & Benefits $30.00 per hour.
