QUALIFICATIONS:
* Warehouse work experience preferred.
* Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to the completion of a high school diploma.
* Possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and physical attributes necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
* Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate or acceptable.

Director of Purchasing
JOB GOAL:
Warehouse and deliver supplies, materials, equipment, etc. that is used to
support the instructional process.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions
* Pack orders for return to vendor or delivery to the schools.
* Pick and process central inventory supply requests for delivery to the schools.
* Stock inventory and note any shortages.
* Keep records and take complete inventory of warehouse twice a year.
* Assemble and deliver furniture.
* Unload delivery trucks and verify receipt of orders, note any discrepancies.
* Maintain warehouse equipment.
* Move equipment and supplies between schools or take to storage.
* Assign asset numbers to new capital outlay equipment and keep records on district owned equipment.
* Collect for auction, surplus equipment and supplies.
* Deliver or pickup mail, supplies and printing on a daily schedule to all instructional units.
* Take packages to the post office for mailing.
* Keep inventory of official district forms. Restock and deliver on as needed basis.
* Receive, store and inventory food commodities.
* Deliver food commodities to attendance centers and deliver prepared meals between buildings.
* Demonstrates effective human relations and communication skills.
* Adheres to good safety practices.
* Adheres to all district rules, regulations, and policies.
* Other duties as required or assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The individual who holds this position is regularly required to walk, stands for long periods of time, hear and speak and must have close moderate and distance vision ability. This individual must be able to travel inside and outside of district facilities. The position requires a significant amount of walking and physical activity.
CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment is consistent with typical office/school environment.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and work calendar to be established by the Board Of Education. Benefits according to Board policies.

Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluations utilizing the Performance Based Evaluation process.
