We are partnering with a well‑established educational institution seeking a hands‑on Controller to join their finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, mission‑driven environment with strong long‑term stability, exposure to fund and grant accounting, and involvement in a major ERP implementation initiative.

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
• Handle general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Assist with cash receipts, disbursements, AP, and payroll functions
• Coordinate annual audits and prepare audit support schedules
• Support state, federal, and grant reporting requirements
• Assist with fund accounting and restricted fund tracking
• Participate in ERP/system implementation initiatives
• Work cross‑functionally with departments across the organization
• Assist leadership with budgeting and financial reporting processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience required
• Experience with computerized accounting systems
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• Fund accounting, nonprofit, government, or higher education accounting experience preferred
• Audit coordination experience highly preferred
• ERP implementation exposure is a plus
• Strong Excel and systems skills
• Collaborative and team‑oriented mindset
