Position Summary

The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and business partners while supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of the agency. This role is responsible for managing front desk activities, handling incoming calls and correspondence, and assisting team members with various administrative tasks to ensure a professional and welcoming office environment.

Key Responsibilities Front Desk Operations
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate team members
  • Welcome visitors and clients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
Mail & Package Management
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail, packages, and courier deliveries
  • Assist with shipping and mailing needs as necessary
Administrative Support
  • Support licensed agents with data entry and administrative tasks
  • Assist with scheduling, filing, and office coordination
  • Help maintain organized client and office records
  • Support general office operations and team projects as needed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative or office support experience required
  • Insurance industry experience is a plus
  • Willingness to obtain a Property & Casualty Insurance license within 90 days of hire
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability and willingness to learn agency management software (Applied Epic)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
  • Positive personality with strong customer service skills
  • Comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, as permitted by law
Hours

Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
