Position Summary:
Work involves a variety of driver's license examinations to determine the eligibility of individual applicants based on well-defined guidelines. Duties include giving road tests, performing vision examinations, and scoring written examinations for new driver licenses or renewals. Serves as a backup to the Office Manager. This position trains staff, balances money and checks reports. Administers written, oral, and vision examinations for non-commercial, motorcycle, and commercial licenses.
This is a non-supervisory team lead position that serves as front line support for customer issues. This position will require travel to the surrounding offices.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensing & Certification:
Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license to perform the essential functions of this position.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, a good driving record and one year of experience in examining and licensing individuals to operate vehicles on public highways, roads and streets and 1 year of supervisory experience.
Preferred Experience:
Prefer 12 months face-to-face customer service, such as retail or food service.
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: KBI and FBI fingerprint required due to involvement in application/issuance process for KS Driver's License and/or KS .
