Compensation: $31,574.40 annually. $15.18 hourly.

Position Summary & Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
This position is located at the Larned State Correctional Facility South Unit and provides clerical support to the Classifications and Records Development, as well as administrative relief for other departments when needed.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
* Performs clerical duties for South Unit and Central Unit areas, including but not limited to, processing and imaging orientation packets, updating emergency notification forms using DOC database, and creating and distributing memos and correspondence.
* Processes resident identification cards including birth certificates and social security cards for South Unit and Central Unit. Maintains processing log and monitors the entire process. Updates database when we receive identification. Distributes an t weekly. Creates resident detail cards for South Unit.
* Images resident paperwork using a scanner to electronically file the hardcopy records. Files paperwork in resident file as needed.
* Enters resident information in facility database. On a weekly basis, contacts Clinic with list of residents working in food service that needs an updated physical. Processes Clemencies for resident. Completes meeting minutes. Answers phone as necessary. Completes other duties as assigned to fulfill the mission of the facility and the department. Fills in for Mail Room clerks as needed.
* Types visitation suspension memos for South Unit and Central Unit, obtains Deputy Warden's signature, distributes as required, and updates visitation website and log.
Qualifications:
Licensing & Certification :
Must have a valid driver's license and provide a copy.
Minimum Qualifications :
Must have six months of experience in general office, clerical, or administrative support work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency. Transcripts are required for education to be considered.
Preferred Qualifications :
Extensive computer experience with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing applications
