Position: PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT) with Security Clearance
Location: McConnell AFB

Duties The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position, in conjunction with the Production Superintendent (Pro Super), to assign priorities to aircraft production efforts, to direct action to resolve resource shortages, to maintain liaison among aircraft maintenance management, and to provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.

Duties: 1:
Provides both present and projected status information to prescribed managerial personnel. Conducts training and skill level progression of Air Force Reservists. 2:
Notes projected completion date, studies actual aircraft status and informs higher levels within chain of command when aircraft is to be mission ready. 3:
Through use of radio, telephone, intercom, e-mail, personal contact with production supervisors, technicians, review work documents and statistical listings, determines status of aircraft. 4:
As daily events occur, maintain MIS data integrity regarding maintenance flying schedule requirements. Works to achieve and support quality improvements in assigned areas of responsibility. 5:
Accomplishes aircraft debriefing to ensure malfunctions identified by aircrews are properly reported and documented. Maintains liaison with the Maintenance Coordinating Function (MCF) of the Command Post. Requirements Conditions of employment

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of recurring manufacture, overhaul, or repair of products or projects using multiple-process production methods and procedures to develop plans and information necessary for the control of complex products such as airframes of fixed and rotary wing aircraft or a variety of complex and long-term facility repair and construction projects.

Practical knowledge of the industrial activity, its staff and support operations, the purpose and capacities of the machines and equipment, the type and kind of labor required, a variety of material resources and their cost, to plan for a control the production cycle. Extensive knowledge of product and manufacturing terminology, data, and standards and how to relate them to new projects.
