Overview
We are seeking a sharp, driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment to join our team as a Compliance Administrator in our Lenexa office. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting company wide compliance initiatives and partnering with state agencies to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements across all divisions.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure to business, contribute to critical operational functions, and grow professionally within a collaborative and evolving team environment.
Responsibilities- Support compliance activities related to alcoholic beverage regulations across all company selling teams.
- Partner with suppliers to ensure products are properly registered and approved with the State of Kansas prior to sale.
- Maintain and monitor product registration records to ensure ongoing compliance with Kansas franchise and alcohol beverage laws.
- Coordinate directly with state agencies regarding licensing, registrations, renewals, and compliance-related inquiries.
- Review product setups and internal systems to ensure only compliant and registered products are sold and distributed.
- Identify, track, and resolve compliance discrepancies, product holds, and registration issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and support audit readiness through detailed documentation and reporting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, purchasing, and supplier partners to support seamless product launches and ongoing compliance efforts.
- Stay informed on changes to state regulations and proactively communicate updates that may impact the business or supplier community.
- Support supplier onboarding and setting up within internal systems, ensuring records are accurately maintained and updated in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Crosstrain with the supply chain team to understand all roles and provide coverage during team members’ absences.
- High level of integrity, commitment, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Strong customer service and relationship skills (phone/email).
- 3–5+ years of professional experience in an office environment.
- Alcohol industry experience is a plus.
- Experience working with the State is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel (intermediate level)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and discreet.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
