Position SummarySupervisor – Paper Mill (Shift) – 1 opening at the Wallula, WA facility.
Description of Role- Manage day‑to‑day operations of a paper machine, coordinating with powerhouse, shipping, and maintenance to resolve daily issues.
- Ensure employee safety, environmental compliance, machine efficiency, product quality, and crew training.
- Conduct crew meetings and communicate safety priorities to crew members and day‑shift management.
- Resolve short‑ and long‑term cost and productivity issues.
- Lead troubleshooting of equipment operation problems by ensuring crews are trained to operate the machine safely and effectively.
- Identify productivity, quality, and efficiency bottlenecks.
- Exercise leadership to improve safety and develop self‑directed work teams.
- Collaborate with other paper‑machine supervisors to maintain continuous operation.
- Maintain effective daily communication with crew, peers, and day‑shift management.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or bio‑resource (pulp & paper) science engineering, or 3+ years in a similar leadership role.
- Minimum three years’ experience in paper‑machine operations.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Supervisory management experience with hiring, coaching, performance development, and corrective action.
- Strong demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to lead effective teams.
- Problem‑solving skills with the ability to positively implement change.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Starting salary range: $96,000 to $144,000.
- Paid vacation:
Three weeks per calendar year, pro‑rata during the initial year based on start date. - Paid holidays.

- Automatic enrollment in the 401(k) plan with pre‑tax and Roth options and employer matching contributions.
