About the Position

As part of the IBP System Demand Planning team at Ardagh Metal Packaging Europe (AMP-E), you will play a key role across our European markets. You will be responsible for forward-looking demand planning for beverage cans and ends, identifying relevant trends through data-driven analyses and deriving well-founded recommendations for action. By utilizing SAP IBP systems and working closely with cross-functional teams, you will make a significant contribution to operational efficiency and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis & Insights
    • Collect, process, and analyze data from various sources
    • Identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities
    • Derive actionable recommendations from complex data analyses
    • Monitor relevant KPIs and continuously improve forecast accuracy
    • Maintain direct and regular contact with customers to jointly analyze and optimize forecasts, aiming to sustainably improve forecast quality
  • Forecasting & Modelling
    • Develop, maintain, and enhance statistical forecasting models
    • Apply predictive analytics, SKU segmentation, PLM data, and market insights to create robust forecasts
    • Manage the full SKU lifecycle
    • Build what-if scenarios for capacity constraints, promotions, or demand changes
    • Perform root cause analyses to sustainably improve forecast performance
  • Reporting & Visualization
    • Create regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards
    • Present analyses and forecasts at SKU and customer level to the Demand Planning Director and key stakeholders
    • Provide structured, decision-relevant insights for S&OP and S&OE processes
    • Independently conduct volume reviews ("Volume Clinics") with key accounts and regional teams
  • Systems & Collaboration
    • Actively contribute to the implementation and optimization of SAP IBP in collaboration with business transformation teams and external consultants
    • Work closely with Sales, Commercial Excellence, customers, and Supply Chain teams
    • Ensure alignment of demand forecasts with commercial strategies and operational capabilities
    • Communicate analytical insights clearly and effectively to different stakeholder groups
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Further develop demand planning processes, tools, and methodologies
    • Ensure alignment with best practices and company strategic objectives
Requirements

Several years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or data analysis (minimum 4 years)

Strong analytical skills with an excellent understanding of numbers and processes

Proficiency with demand planning and ERP systems, ideally SAP IBP, SAP ECC, or SAP HANA

Solid understanding of S&OP processes and cross-functional planning workflows

Advanced Excel skills, including macros

Ability to communicate complex topics clearly, structured, and audience-appropriately

Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills

Structured, independent working style with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic, international environment

Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain / Logistics, or a comparable field

Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or packaging industry is an advantage

Knowledge of Python and/or SQL is a plus

Excellent German and English language skills (written and spoken)
