Position: Summer Camp Supervisor (2026 Season)

The Borough of Red Bank Recreation and Parks Department

The Borough of Red Bank Recreation and Parks Department is accepting applications for a Summer Camp Supervisor
. The role will serve as a temporary position working in the Summer Season for our summer Camp Programs as well as planning, implementing and evaluating it. There will be some commitment required prior to the start of both camps for trainings and planning. The camp runs from Monday through Friday and the Supervisor is required to be on site from at least 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Additional hours might be needed for planning the following day/week activities. Ideal candidate should be professional, organized and express a desire to work in Parks and Recreation. Experience with children, day care or recreational services is highly preferred. Salary Range: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour.

Duties/

Responsibilities Include:
  • Plan schedules of paid counselors and volunteers for each week to ensure they meet their required hours.
  • Organizing campers throughout the camp day ensuring their safety and focusing on safety, learning and personal enjoyment.
  • Plan and implement daily events including sports, games, reading, arts and crafts, guest speakers and more.
  • Set a good example with behavior and attitude for the children to follow.
  • Assist parents with camp information, sign‑in/sign‑out, daily activities, questions, etc.
  • Lead staff and camp personnel field trips to various locations. This may include driving a Borough van.
  • Manage staff including timesheets, activities, cleanup, etc.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding scheduling, disciplinary actions, behavior and other information as needed.
  • Oversee trips including time management, emergency procedures, check‑in, and group management.
  • Administer basic first aid, CPR and AED as needed.

Fluency or proficiency in Spanish is preferred. CPR certification is required and will be provided by the borough if needed.
