CHILDCARE ATTENDANT

Reports To: Director Youth Services

Status Type: Part-Time, Hourly

The Childcare Attendant is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children in the Mission Hills Country Club’s (MHCC) on-site childcare facility. Childcare Attendants ensure children are supervised, cared for, and engaged in age-appropriate activities and camps while their parents participate in fitness, tennis and other club-sponsored activities. Childcare Attendants availability should include evenings, holidays, school breaks, and summer break.

• Maintains a clean, organized, and hazard-free child care environment.
• Completes daily opening/closing tasks and procedures checklist.
• Follows all health and safety regulations, including proper hygiene and sanitation practices.

• Supervises and monitors children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Provides attentive care tailored to the needs of each child.
• Fosters a positive and inclusive atmosphere while adhering to company and regulatory standards for child care services.

• Engages with children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and socialization.
• Encourages participation in activities such as arts and crafts, storytelling, games, and play.

• Provides regular updates to parents/guardians on their child’s progress and behavior.
• Communicates incidents, concerns, or milestones in a timely and professional manner.

• Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and emergency contacts.
• Assist in enforcing company policies and state licensing requirements for child care operations. EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
  
  Education and Experience
  • Minimum age: 15 years old.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certification (or able to certify within 90 days of employment).
  • Previous experience working in child care, education, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with child development stages and care needs.
  • Creative, organized and detail-oriented.
