Construction Inspector / Field Representative
Kansas Civil Engineering Consulting Firm
A growing civil engineering consulting firm is seeking a full-time or part-time Construction Inspector to support transportation and infrastructure projects throughout the state of Kansas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with construction field experience who enjoys working outdoors and being part of important public improvement projects.
Responsibilities:- Inspect and document contractor activities on construction projects
- Monitor work for compliance with project plans and specifications
- Prepare daily reports and project documentation
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project teams
- Assist with inspection activities on roadway, utility, and infrastructure projects
- High School Diploma required
- Previous construction or inspection experience preferred
- Current KDOT inspection certifications are a plus
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and equipment
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to travel throughout Kansas as needed
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Dependable, responsible, flexible, and able to work independently
- Strong communication and organizational skills
