School District Engagement Specialist

The School District Engagement Specialist plays a crucial role in shaping the district's image and strengthening the bonds between the district, its students, and the broader community. This position requires a creative and strategic thinker who is passionate about education and community engagement.

• Website and Social Media Management:
  Maintain and update the district's website with current news, resources, and information. Manage and oversee the district's social media profiles, ensuring consistent, engaging, and timely content.
• Social Media Expansion:
  Develop and implement strategies to expand the district's presence on various social media platforms. Identify new trends and platforms that can enhance the district's visibility and engagement.
• Content Creation:
  Produce compelling human interest pieces that promote the district and highlight its programs, projects, and successes. Create content that resonates with different stakeholders, including students, parents, staff, and the community.
• Community Engagement:
  Increase community engagement through innovative communication strategies and events. Foster relationships with community partners, organizations, and media to promote district initiatives and achievements.
• Student Interaction:
  Work directly with students to teach communication and engagement strategies. Involve students in real-world projects related to media, communication, and community engagement to enhance their skills and confidence.

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Education or a related field.
• Experience in educational settings or working directly with students

• At least 3 years of experience in a communication, public relations, or engagement role, preferably within an educational or non-profit setting.
• Proven track record of managing websites and social media platforms, with the ability to engage a diverse audience.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to produce content for various formats and audiences.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and community members.
• Familiarity with graphic design and video editing software.
