Job Description
LeRoy Christian Church (LCC) is currently looking for its next Associate Minister. We seek a leader who intentionally loves the Church, deeply desires to develop people, and has a passion for creating a meaningful worship culture where people encounter the simple gospel and are compelled to live for Jesus.
LeRoy Christian Church has been and continues to be a pillar in the community. We deeply care for the flourishing of our town and believe God has positioned us for significant impact in the years ahead. The Associate Minister will primarily be responsible for our Sunday service musical worship, in conjunction with the senior minister, and, as is the case in many churches our size, will serve in various other capacities based on gifting, skills, and experience.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, rehearse, and lead worship for Sunday morning services
- Lead vocally and instrumentally during worship services
- Recruit, schedule, and coordinate worship team volunteers (vocalists and musicians)
- Lead regular rehearsals to ensure musical excellence and spiritual preparation
- Mentor and disciple team members in their faith and musical gifts off‑stage
- Oversee the execution of all technical aspects of the Sunday morning worship experience and special events
- Champion LCC’s mission and vision
- Create and curate resources to equip and develop worship teams
- Become a consistent, faithful member of the church community
- Additional responsibilities assigned based on gifting, skills, experience and the needs of the church
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and heart fully devoted to Him
- Model of Christian character, leadership, and decision‑making
- Evidence of servant leadership
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A self‑starter committed to creativity
- Ability to balance artistic vision with theological integrity
- A passion for reaching people outside the walls of the church building
- Knowledge of Pro Presenter, Planning Center, CCLI preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience leading worship in a ministry setting (as a volunteer or staff) showing proven abilities to work with a team under the direction of the Senior Minister
- A growing number of volunteers are trained, empowered and thriving in ministry roles
- Worship services lead people (Christians and not‑yet Christians) into encounters with Jesus
- Worship team culture is healthy, united, and marked by simple excellence
- The Sunday morning worship services and special events are executed to provide a distraction‑free, simply excellent experience
- The mission of LCC is advanced and embodied through worship ministry
