Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver accurate and compelling weather forecasts with an emphasis on impactful and inconvenient weather conditions.
  • Create innovative, engaging weather content that adds value and captures attention across all digital, streaming and broadcast platforms.
  • Translate complex meteorological data into clear, accessible explanations, highlighting the “why” and relevance behind your forecasts.
  • Actively contribute to the KOAM+ streaming app, KOAM website and social media channels, fostering strong audience interaction and feedback loops.
  • Provide urgent weather updates and critical information both from the studio and on location during severe weather events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in meteorology
  • Confident and engaging on‑air presence with a conversational and relatable delivery style.
  • Proficiency with WSI weather systems is preferred but not required.
  • Experience preferred, particularly with forecasting severe weather systems.
