Worship Leader

Tonganoxie United Methodist Church is located at 328 E 4th St, Tonganoxie, Kansas. The church offers a wide range of ministries where people can connect with others, grow in their faith, serve the community. We offer two unique worship services, both contemporary and traditional.

This is a part-time, on-site Worship Leader role based in Tonganoxie, KS. The Worship Leader will be responsible for developing and leading engaging worship services, including music selection, leading rehearsals, and ensuring the technical aspects such as sound and visuals are cohesive. Additional tasks include collaborating with church leadership to plan worship services, researching new worship trends, and fostering participation from the congregation and volunteer musicians.

• Strong proficiency in Worship Music and Singing to lead worship services effectively
• Skills in playing instruments, preferably proficient in guitar, and general Music knowledge to coordinate worship accompaniment
• Ability to conduct Research to discover, plan, and incorporate new worship elements
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience with audio/visual technology and sound systems is a plus
• A background in church, music ministry, or a related field is preferred
