Casual Temporary Associate

Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our Canberra team based in Denman Prospect.

The Role

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting clinicians, creating a seamless patient experience, and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic.

* Availability on Fridays and Saturdays is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting clinicians during a range of dental procedures
  • Preparing treatment rooms and patients for clinical treatment
  • Taking X-rays and dental impressions
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and clinical documentation
  • Sterilising instruments and ensuring infection control standards are maintained
  • Supporting patients with post-treatment care instructions
  • Assisting with scheduling, patient flow, and general clinical coordination
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and professional clinical environment
  • Supporting the wider team to ensure a positive patient experience
About You

You’re professional, team-oriented, and genuinely passionate about patient care. You thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment and take pride in delivering high-quality support to both patients and clinicians.

You’ll bring:

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures
  • Confidence taking X-rays and impressions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A proactive and supportive approach within a team environment
  • A strong understanding of patient confidentiality and professionalism
Highly Regarded
  • Experience with in implant or surgical dentistry
  • Knowledge of dental practice management software
  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent experience
