This well-established acute-care community hospital serves a broad regional population and maintains the clinical resources and established protocols necessary to support inpatient interventional cardiology services on an on-site basis. The facility is structured to accommodate 24-hour call-based cardiac care delivery, with an interventional cardiologist on staff as the primary clinical support during coverage periods. Clinical operations are configured to ensure continuity of inpatient cardiac care delivery throughout each assigned coverage period.

Kansas offers clinicians on assignment a range of regional attractions and recreational opportunities throughout the year. The state provides access to outdoor activities, cultural destinations, and community events across various areas. Clinicians may explore natural areas, historic sites, and local venues during their time on assignment.

The interventional cardiologist will provide 24-hour inpatient call coverage on-site, managing 6 to 15 patients per day, including 8 patients per day in the Cath Lab. Clinical responsibilities include pacemaker implantation and performance of interventional cardiology procedures as credentialed by the facility. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment, and clinicians must maintain continuous availability to respond to inpatient cardiac cases throughout each designated coverage period.

Board certification in Interventional Cardiology is required for consideration. The cases include echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), cardioversions, and viability studies. Experience with nuclear stress tests and cardiac CT scans is required, along with the ability to read and interpret echocardiograms, EKGs, and Holter monitor studies. Experience with implantable loop recorders is preferred but not required.
