Special Education Cooperative is seeking a World Class School Special Education Teacher. A Life Skills educator should be prepared to do the following: plan and provide an engaging, inclusive learning environment that facilitates the personal, social-emotional, and intellectual development of all students.

Designs and adapts instruction to meet individual needs and abilities, with a strong focus on supporting students with high levels of need, including those with medical complexities, through collaboration, differentiated strategies, and responsive care.

• Coordinate the development and implementation of students' Individual Education Program (IEP).
• Serves as a member of the multidisciplinary team, the special education evaluation process, and attends special education meetings in support of student needs.
• Design and teach timely and accurate content and instructional activities that are aligned with the prescribed district curriculum and instructional practices.
• Utilize district and building-based initiatives when planning classroom instruction.
• Plan and implement effective lessons based on the student IEPs, using time, materials, and resources effectively.
• Maintain student records, including but not limited to attendance, grades, and progress reports.
• Efficiently use instructional time to ensure students are engaged.
• Implement a variety of instruction methods to address the varied learning characteristics of the students.
