Chaparral USD 361 is seeking a student-centered, experienced, and collaborative 7-12 Principal to lead Chaparral Jr./Sr. High School. The principal serves as the instructional and operational leader, fostering a positive school culture, high expectations for learning, and strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the community.

Primary Responsibilities

* Provide strong instructional leadership for grades 7-12, supporting high-quality teaching and learning

* Build and maintain a positive, safe, and respectful school culture

* Supervise, support, and evaluate certified and classified staff

* Lead curriculum implementation, assessment practices, and continuous improvement efforts

* Ensure compliance with Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) regulations and district policies

* Oversee student discipline, attendance, and behavior supports

* Manage building operations, schedules, activities, and supervision

* Collaborate with the superintendent, district leadership, and community partners

* Support extracurricular activities and student engagement

* Communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and community members
