Location: Baldwin City
Baker University seeks a Director of Residence Life and Student Conduct. This position provides overall direction for residence life and works collaboratively with the other campus departments to maximize the potential of residence halls to impact student growth and development. The Director provides overall administration of residence halls and the residence life program, including the enforcement of university policies and procedures, selection, training, and development of the residence life staff, educational programming, and conflict resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Housing Operations and Assessment:
Maintains housing records including occupancy reporting, census data, immunization records, insurance records, emergency contact information, meal plan reporting, and all applicable record keeping. Oversee housing selection and the housing assignment process.
* Residential
Education:
In conjunction with partners across campus, implement a residential education model that enhances sense of belonging and contributes positively to retention, persistence, and graduation
* Training, leadership and supervision:
Responsible for the rrecruitment, selection, training, and evaluation of the residence hall student staff;
Ensures delivery of all student staff training
* Intervention:
Serves as a member of the on-call rotation providing support to students and the community. Partners with security, facilities, housekeeping, and other campus partners to ensure the safety and security of the community
* Student Conduct:
Oversees the maintenance of the Student Handbook and adjudicates student conduct matters
* Baker Outreach Network:
Participate in Baker Outreach Network, attend bi-weekly committee meetings, manage assigned caseload by providing timely outreach, intervention, and care to students in need, referring them to appropriate campus resources
Qualifications:
* Master's Degree or equivalent preferred or four to eight years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
