USD 248 is taking applications to fill a High School and Middle School Band Teacher for the school year. The district will have extra-curricular supplemental positions available. Applications will be accepted until this position is filled. Step one on our salary schedule for a beginning teacher is $50-105. The band teacher also receives additional stipends for GMS and GHS marching band.
Other benefits are also included.

Girard USD 248 is located in southeast Kansas,approximately 14 miles from Missouri and 35 miles from Oklahoma. Our school district is made up of 262 square miles and includes the towns of Girard, Brazilton, Hepler, Walnut, Farlington, and Beulah. Our schools populations are R.V. Haderlein elementary is 540 Kindergarten through Fifth grade, Girard Middle school has 240 students, and Girard High School enrollment is approximately 310 students.
