Location: Baldwin City

Baker University seeks qualified applicants for an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Baker University's Baldwin City campus. We are seeking a Sociologist with a specialization in Crime & Deviance. Secondary specializations are open. If you are a dynamic, innovative instructor who would enjoy being part of an interdisciplinary department that includes Communication Studies, History, Religious Studies, and Sociology, Baker would love to hear from you!

Job Duties:

* Annual 4/4 teaching load, including core courses in Criminology and Criminal Justice & Forensics, Social Research Methods, and potential new courses in Sociology in candidate area of interest.

* Develop and teach general education courses in relevant areas.

* Although teaching is the primary focus, successful candidates will also be asked to engage in student advising, service to the university, and scholarship.

Job Requirements:

* PhD at time of appointment is required.

* Committed to teaching in a small college setting and dedicated to student-centered learning
