2nd Grade Classroom Teacher

Responsibilities

• Instruction: Develops and implements engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans and curriculum, including 21st-century skills and technology integration.
• Assessment: Conducts ongoing academic and social assessment, analyzes data, and adjusts instructional methods to support all learners, including special education needs.
• Classroom Management: Establishes a safe, organized, and positive learning environment; manages student behavior according to district policies.
• Collaboration & Communication: Communicates regularly with parents/guardians via conferences, newsletters, and reports. Works with staff, aides, and specialists.
• Professionalism: Attends staff meetings, engages in professional development, and maintains valid Kansas licensure.

Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

• Licensure: Valid Kansas Department of Education (KSDE) teaching license with appropriate elementary endorsement.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Elementary Education or related field.
