Works in various classified positions on a temporary, as‑needed basis. There is no set number of hours or days guaranteed as a substitute. Substitutes will only be called to work while Adams 12 Five Star Schools is in session.

• Para educator, Special Programs (Special Needs) – $18.73
• Para educator, Special Education Instruction – $17.99
• Para educator, Classroom Assistant – $16.50
• Student Monitor (Lunchroom/Recess) – $16.50
• Campus Security/Operations – $19.11
• Office Work (depends upon the assignment)

Primarily substitute requests are for Paraprofessionals for Special Education and Special Programs. We also substitute for the following classified jobs:
Campus Security, Student Monitor, Media Clerk, Paraprofessionals for Classrooms and Preschool. Pay varies by position.

• Substitutes cannot be hired as both a Certified Substitute Teacher AND Classified Substitute Paraprofessional.
