Join a collaborative team where you will have the opportunity to teach a range of English Language Arts courses, including Honors English, and possible options including drama, speech, and forensics. This position also allows flexibility for electives based on candidate strengths and interests, encouraging creativity, communication, and a love of learning in and beyond the classroom.

Ashland is the county seat of Clark County, Kansas, located about 50 miles south of Dodge City. USD 220 serves the communities of Ashland, Englewood, and surrounding rural areas, and competes in the KSHSAA 1A classification.
Teaching License or Plan of Study and Praxis ScoresQualified candidates must hold a valid teaching license or a plan of study with Praxis scores that meet district requirements.

- Base salary $43,984
- Step $700 and Track $900

Unified School District #220, Ashland Public Schools is a small rural district in southwest Kansas. We are located fifty miles south of Dodge City.
We operate on a four‑day school week (Monday‑Thursday) and our teachers are on a 166‑day contract. Our district is fiscally sound, and has a competitive salary and benefits package. Our community is very supportive of K‑12 education. We have a 96% attendance rate and a 95‑100% graduation rate, and 95% of graduates pursue post‑secondary education. Our average class size is about 15 students.
