Job DescriptionUSD 495 is looking for a Middle School Head Coach to lead our middle school wrestling program for the 2026-27 school year. This position is focused on building strong relationships, creating a positive team experience, and helping student-athletes grow on and off the court.
Larned Middle School competes in the Central Kansas League and views athletics as an extension of the educational experience.
Coaching Responsibilities- Lead the middle school wrestling program
- Create a positive, respectful team environment
- Build strong relationships with student-athletes and families
- Communicate clearly with players, parents, and staff
- Support academic expectations and eligibility
- Wrestling coaching experience preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Commitment to positive experiences for student-athletes
- Ability to work well with students, families, and colleagues
- Supportive administration and collaborative leadership
