Special Ed Teacher - Concordia, Kansas

Bring your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to a rewarding contract position supporting middle school students in a welcoming educational environment. This full-time opportunity spans the school year, starting in August 2026 and continuing through May 2027. Paid training occurs ahead of the first school day, ensuring you're well-prepared to make a difference from the very beginning.

In this role, you'll work with a caseload of approximately 12 middle school students using a dynamic push‑in / pull‑out instructional model. Collaboration and innovative teaching are central to creating inclusive learning opportunities and meaningful progress for each student.

• Valid state certification in Special Education
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs at the middle school level
• Strong skills developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Ability to work effectively with support staff, general education teachers, and families
• Background in both push‑in and pull‑out service delivery models
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities

• Deliver differentiated instruction and interventions in both classroom and small group settings
• Develop, monitor, and document IEP goals and student progress
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support personnel to ensure access and accommodations
• Provide ongoing communication with families regarding student success
• Participate in staff meetings, team planning, and professional development
