An opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support communication needs within a school setting. This travel position is based in Tonganoxie, KS, and involves working directly with students and staff to facilitate full participation in educational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa during classroom instruction and school events
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure effective communication access
- Assist students with hearing impairments in understanding lessons and interacting with peers
- Support the development of an inclusive learning environment
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong interpreting skills
- Experience working in educational settings preferred
- Ability to travel as required to fulfill assignment needs

- Commitment to student success and inclusion
