Position Overview
Paraeducators work closely with teachers to provide extra support to students in Structured Learning (SL) classrooms. Students often require intensive support and predictable, consistent routines throughout the school day. Many of these students are on the autism spectrum. The educational focus is on language, communication, and social skills, along with self‑help, sensory integration, and academic skills. Common duties include toileting and ensuring all health and safety precautions are followed.
Qualifications- Pass a background check
- Have a current TB test
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Strong team player
- Basic computer and math skills
- Enjoy a fast‑paced environment
- Physical stamina: 80% standing and 20% walking; able to lift, carry, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use finger dexterity
- Maintain regular and acceptable attendance/punctuality
