Job Description
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Pre-Clerkship Education, this role will provide instruction specifically in Clinical Skills for the Physicianship Track.
Specific Responsibilities- Teaching (100%)
- Works with the Department Chair to provide hands‑on student training in history and physical assessment, diagnostic testing, and procedural skills.
- Assists in monitoring the progress of all students to ensure successful progress toward graduation and recommends disciplinary action when necessary.
- Teaches in assigned courses.
- Assists in student testing, re‑testing, and remediation as necessary.
- Develops clinical scenarios for standardized patient education assessment/evaluation and simulation education/assessment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications- Health professional with a degree of DO, MD, Paramedic, APN, or PA.
- Clinical experience providing direct patient care in their specialty.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the desire and ability to learn course management software and distance‑learning technologies.
- Provide examples of accomplishments, skills, and publications.
- Experience precepting osteopathic medical students in a clinical setting.
- Experience as an instructor in a clinical skills course or CME course.
- Experience with point‑of‑care ultrasound and simulation.
- Leadership abilities in influencing and shaping performance.
- Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm to contribute to organizational growth and development.
- Strong, effective, and diplomatic oral communication skills.
- Public speaking skills.
