Milwaukee Tennis & Education Foundation (MTEF) is looking for experienced and energetic individuals who are motivated to teach tennis and promote positive youth development experiences.
JOB OVERVIEWMTEF Coaches work directly with students ages 8-17 providing valuable mentorship, teaching, and instruction. We are hiring for the school year (September – May) with the option to work summer camps. Hours vary and you can build a schedule that best works for you. Programs include after‑school community (3‑5 pm weekdays), weeknight (5‑8 pm), weekend (Sunday 3‑6 pm), and one‑day events. Head and Assistant Coach opportunities are available depending on prior experience.
ASA MTEF COACH, YOU
- Study and deliver tennis curriculum.
- Provide class management.
- Mentor, motivate and teach students.
- Bring energy, intensity and a strong work ethic.
- Interact on and off the court to promote positive youth development experiences.
- Assist with court setup and training aids.
- A passion for and/or experience with the game of tennis.
- A positive, team‑focused, growth‑oriented mindset.
- A commitment to support youth to meet their full potential.
- Experience working with youth in an athletic and/or academic environment.
- Ability and willingness to work with students from diverse cultural, academic, and economic backgrounds.
- Confidence facilitating learning activities with a group of students of various ages.
- Willingness to co‑plan and/or co‑facilitate with fellow coaches.
- Ability and desire to build rapport with program users and partners.
- A spirit of flexibility and willingness to pivot as needed.
- At least two years of part‑time or full‑time work experience of any kind.
- The ability to work a minimum of 4‑6 hours per week.
