High School Music Teacher

Hugoton Public Schools USD 210 is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Music Teacher to provide a comprehensive music education program. This teacher will inspire students in music appreciation, theory, and performance while fostering creativity and critical thinking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging music instruction aligned with Kansas state standards.
• Teach courses in music theory, music appreciation, general music, and vocal performance.
• Develop students' understanding of music history, styles, and cultural influences.
• Organize classroom activities and projects that encourage creativity and participation.
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain and organize classroom music resources and materials.
• Collaborate with administration, staff, and parents to support student learning.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field.
• Valid Kansas Teaching License with appropriate endorsement.
• Knowledge of general music instruction, music theory, and classroom management.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience teaching high school music courses.
• Ability to integrate technology or multimedia in music instruction.
