Position: Day One Specialist (Wednesday to Sunday)

POSITION

OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSE

The purpose of the Day One Specialist is to provide sows and newborn piglets with attentive, hands‑on care before, during, and after farrowing. This entry‑level, full‑time position plays an important role in maintaining high animal care standards and ensuring newborn piglets receive the care and support needed to get a strong, healthy start during their first three days of life.

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full‑time, benefits‑eligible position with a Wednesday through Sunday work schedule. Regular days off are Monday and Tuesday.

The schedule requires a minimum of 36 hours per week (Wednesday through Sunday), with weekdays typically averaging 8‑hour workdays and Saturdays and Sundays typically averaging 6‑hour workdays. Holiday work rotations, as established by the Manager, will be required.
