We're supporting a wind energy construction project in central Kansas requiring an experienced lattice boom crane operator for a night-shift contract running approximately two months. The machine on-site is a Liebherr LG 1750 - one of the most powerful lattice boom mobile cranes in the world - rigged with superlift, derrick, and tray, operating on straight boom (no luffer). Lifts include full drive trains, hub sets, and components up to 200,000 lbs.

This is precision heavy-lift work on an active wind turbine construction site.
  • Anticipated $50/hour, based on experience (rate may flex for the right operator)
  • 7x 10/12s (70-84 hours per week), anticipate 2 months
  • $125/day per diem, paid 7 days/week
  • Mileage reimbursed at $0.725/mile in/out upon project completion
  • Night shift schedule
What You'll Do:
  • Operate the Liebherr LG 1750 lattice boom crane with superlift/derrick/tray configuration
  • Execute precision lifts of wind turbine components - drive trains, hubs, and loads up to 200K lbs.
  • Work night shifts as part of a wind turbine erection crew
  • Coordinate with rigging crew during picks; maintain communication with signal persons and lift directors
  • Follow site-specific lift plans and all NCCCO/OSHA safety requirements
Preferred Skills/

Experience:
  • NCCCO Lattice Boom Crawler or Mobile Crane certification (required)
  • Documented hands-on experience on Liebherr LG 1750 or LR 1750 (strongly preferred)
  • Wind turbine erection experience - drive trains, nacelles, hubs, tower sections
  • Superlift/derrick/tray configuration experience
  • Heavy lift experience - loads 100K lbs. and above
  • Comfort with night shift operations on active construction sites
  • OSHA 10 or 30 (preferred)
