Landfill Laborer

Waste Connections is seeking a Landfill Laborer to support daily operations in our Waste Management department. In this hands-on role, you'll perform general labor tasks such as waste handling, site cleanup, and basic equipment support in an outdoor landfill environment. You'll follow strict safety and environmental procedures while working closely with drivers and operators to keep the site clean, efficient, and compliant.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily labor tasks including waste handling, site cleanup, and debris removal at the landfill
• Operate or assist with basic equipment under supervision while following safety guidelines
• Inspect work areas, follow PPE requirements, and immediately report safety hazards or incidents
• Support traffic flow and customer unloading to maintain efficient and safe operations
• Maintain cleanliness of tipping areas, roads, and grounds to support environmental compliance
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks and upkeep of tools and equipment
• Follow supervisor instructions, work orders, and company policies at all times
• Provide respectful, helpful service to customers, drivers, and team members

Required Skills
