SummaryProvide support to new product integration and sustain current boat products built within the Cobalt facility, demonstrating proficiency in technical support and leading engineering projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Lead new product running at production and provide training.
- Create and provide engineering standards and documentation.
- Identify customer problems and create functional prototypes offering solutions.
- Review existing product design, identify weaknesses, propose, implement, and monitor effectiveness of improvements.
- Source parts as required, manage vendor issues.
- Build early concepts of parts designs and thoroughly test them for validation.
- Draft product design ideas or concepts to reduce cost or improve efficiency (VA/VE).
- Support Cobalt departments at all levels.
- 3 years of experience (relevant work experience preferred).
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- CAD proficiency (2D – 3D) with AutoCAD, Rhino, Solid Works.
- MS Office proficiency.
- Analytical thinker.
- Ability to project manage.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume manufacturing environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, assignments, and deadlines.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree.
Language SkillsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small‑group settings to customers, clients, and other employees.
Reasoning AbilityApply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
