Job DescriptionThis Mechanical Engineer role offers the opportunity to lead product design and development from initial sale through final delivery. You will manage engineering projects, serve as the primary technical contact for customers, and create detailed manufacturing documentation.
Responsibilities- Design and develop new mechanical products and enhance existing product designs.
- Manage engineering projects from initial sale through final delivery, ensuring technical accuracy and timely completion.
- Serve as the primary engineering contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, providing clear and professional communication.
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using Solid Works and AutoCAD to support design and manufacturing activities.
- Generate plasma table files for CNC cutting to support fabrication processes.
- Create assembly drawings and comprehensive bills of materials to guide production and assembly teams.
- Coordinate closely with fabrication teams to manage workflow and address technical questions or issues.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure work remains within defined scope and requirements.
- Maintain organized project documentation, including drawings, revisions, and related engineering records.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Proficiency with Solid Works for 3D modeling and mechanical design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD for 2D drawings and documentation.
- Experience creating detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
- Understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage projects from concept through delivery.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain documentation and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with customers, fabricators, and internal teams.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in mechanical design and machine design.
- Experience in new product development from concept through production.
- General mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional work and adapt to changing project priorities.
This is an onsite role based in a newly built office space designed to support collaboration and future team growth. The environment supports hands‑on engineering work closely connected to fabrication and manufacturing activities, including the use of Solid Works, AutoCAD, and CNC‑related documentation such as plasma table files.
Job Type & LocationPermanent position based out of Rose Hill, KS.
Pay & BenefitsPay: $80,000 – $95,000 per year. Benefits include 401(k) with matching, Vision insurance, Dental insurance, Flexible spending account, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Paid time off.
