At Liberty's Riverton Power Plant, you'll gain hands‑on experience supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a 300 MW generation facility. This role offers a unique combination of engineering, operations, maintenance, and project management experience that allows you to build technical expertise while contributing to critical infrastructure that powers our communities.
Unlike many engineering positions that focus on a single discipline, this role provides exposure to plant systems, capital projects, outage management, maintenance programs, and daily operations.
In This Role, You Will:- Support the operation of a 300 MW power generation facility
- Work directly with operators, technicians, contractors, and plant leadership
- Lead small capital improvement projects from scope development through execution
- Participate in plant outages and maintenance planning
- Develop expertise in power generation equipment and systems
- Support plant reliability, safety, and performance initiatives
- Gain hands‑on experience with operational and maintenance processes
- Build skills in project management, budgeting, scheduling, and contractor management

Accountabilities:- Support plant efforts in achieving Liberty’s Triple Zero target by participating in safety meetings, performing safety observations, and contributing to short- and long-term safety improvement initiatives. Lead or support safety training programs as directed.
- Develop understanding of plant function and operation, specifically operational systems, equipment and their integration. Develop understanding of plant maintenance processes and procedures.
- Participate in formal training programs (e.g., OJT, Energy Supply Operator Training) and continue to develop technical knowledge through on-the-job learning with operators, technicians, and plant leadership
- Support Operator/Technicians and other Managers in the operation and maintenance of the Riverton Plant and be able to provide weekend support.
- Be available for 24/7 support of operations and maintenance.
- Support purchasing, by investigating and specifying equipment and parts as directed by other managers.
- Develop, implement, and manage projects of less than $50,000, including scope development, work packages, bid documents, scheduling, contractor selection, and full lifecycle project management (budget and schedule)
