Supervises and coordinates the daily activities of Surveillance Personnel on assigned shift to ensure complete compliance with the Tribal Gaming Commission regulations, the protection of Prairie Band Casino money, property and integrity. Also responsible for the training, development, motivation and morale of those individuals under his/her supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:

* Supervises and trains Surveillance Officers according to operating procedures

* Maintains compliance with Tribal State Gaming Rules and approved System Internal Controls

* Recommends policy changes to of Surveillance Shift Manager or Director

* Maintains knowledge of current casino cheating and theft methods and trains assigned Surveillance personnel

* Operates a closed circuit television system to monitor gaming, money-handling activity and procedure compliance in all departments

* Records any irregular gaming activity through accurate, detailed reports

* Operates all surveillance equipment including, but not limited to digital system, monitors, switches, computers, controllers and cameras as assigned

* Provides written and oral court testimony

* Maintains Surveillance equipment and databases

* Maintains current knowledge of all policies and procedures

* Becomes familiar with the current list of undesirables and cheats maintained by the Surveillance and Security department

* Prepares Activity reports, Incidents Reports and Surveillance Special Reports, as required

* Safeguards all confidential information and maintains department integrity

* Reports any personal circumstances that may pose a conflict of interest or hamper creditability of the Surveillance department

* Understands and administers performance appraisals, sets performance expectations and provides coaching and operational support for all Surveillance personnel

* Conducts initial investigations, gathers evidence and complies with relevant legal requirements

* Adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same

* Perform additional duties as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND

EXPERIENCE:

Required

* Must be at least 21 years of age

* High School Diploma or GED

* Broad knowledge of games and casino rules, procedures and administration

* Familiar with cheating methods, and other related activities

* Professional appearance as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook

* Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team

* Ability to comply with Tribal State Gaming Compact rules and approved system of Internal Controls

* Strong math proficiency and writing skills

* Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

* Six months experience in conducting investigations

* One year of experience with Microsoft Office Products with an emphasis in Excel and Access

* A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment

Preferred

* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Criminal Justice, or related field

* One year of previous leadership experience

* Experience in loss prevention

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

* Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations

* Must be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds

* Able to sit or stand for long hours observing numerable Closed Circuit Television screens (8-10 hours)
