Position Overview
Lead Teller – Retail Banking at PNC, Saint Clair Shores, MI. The role focuses on delivering a unique, high‑quality customer experience, improving financial wellbeing, and increasing share of wallet. Responsibilities- Coaches, mentors, and leads tellers by example, demonstrating customer‑focused service and effective communication skills.
- Processes a variety of customer interactions and ensures all teller and branch daily operations are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Educates customers on alternatives, banking opportunities, and options for managing financial transactions using technology, tools, and resources.
- Identifies banking opportunities during customer interactions and makes appropriate referrals to branch staff.
- Performs lobby engagement activities to connect with customers and position PNC products to meet their needs.
- Assists the Branch Manager in performance management and new hire selection processes.
- Ensures adherence to all policies, procedures, and risk management requirements, demonstrating sound judgment within established limits.
- Demonstrates problem‑resolution processes and effective transaction handling.
- Knowledgeable in customer‑centered values and practices that align with customer needs and satisfaction.
- Experience in banking or related customer service roles; 1+ year of related experience is preferred.
- Strong awareness of risk management and ability to apply the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and proactive sales skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and mentor peers.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; a university/college degree is not required.
- Military service experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
