Financial Controller; Elwood Manufacturing

Your Role

Serve as the site’s functional financial controller, responsible for financial reporting, financial management and full engagement in site strategy, health and safety, plant lead team and broader leadership initiatives.

• Supervise senior financial analyst(s) covering HR, cost & benefits, performance; coordinate metric reporting and annual business planning (capacity setting, standard costing, business partner interaction).
• Ensure monthly accuracy and timeliness of expenses, variances, inventories and forecasts for Elwood.
• Oversee financial control processes, planning, reporting, forecasting and special projects such as Six Sigma and productivity initiatives.
• Implement, maintain and execute the entire Sarbanes‑Oxley control suite; provide controls for all plant site assets and transactions.
• Review control documentation and lead internal and external audit engagements for controls, asset verifications and documentation reviews.
• Develop a thorough understanding of Elwood operations and broader Elanco business to deliver maximum value.
• Interpret financial data and present actionable metrics and analyses to support business partners and drive accountability.
• Lead employees, projects, leaders and cross‑functional teams.
• Manage a $90million operating budget, capital budget, cost of goods sold and inventory stocks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (or MBA with technical/operations background).
• At least five (5) years of cost‑controller experience in a manufacturing environment.
• People‑management and development experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor visas.

• Proficiency with SAP S/4, SAP BW, Power BI and Onestream.
• Strong stewardship of control processes, forecasting, closing and management reporting.
• Experience leading monthly closing activities and maintaining a strong internal‑control environment.
• Capability to deliver site business plans, drive accountability and influence decisions.
• Strategic initiative development and execution.
• Business‑partnering skills to advise on resource allocation and special projects.
• Planning experience: cost‑center expense planning, standard‑cost development, absorption/variance analysis.
• Leadership in continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing finance teams.

Elwood, KS (Manufacturing Site). Minimal travel required.
