Performed in the operating room, the Surgical Technologist maintains accountability for surgical instruments, coordinates patient care with other team members, upholds patient rights and confidentiality, and performs duties consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.

• Perform the primary function of a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room.
• Maintain accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team.
• Coordinate the care of the surgical patient with other team members.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Perform duties and responsibilities consistent with Mercy Service Standards.

• High‑School Diploma or GED required.
• Non‑certified applicants may be considered with acceptable surgical technology experience (Ortho experience preferred).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Must understand English both written and spoken and be able to safely perform job‑related functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
