Radiologic Technologist – Second Shift (Full-Time)
Northwest Kansas | Non-Exempt | Monday–Friday | 4×9.5 hr Shifts | Rotating Call
Position SummaryA healthcare facility in Northwest Kansas is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist for a full-time second‑shift role. This position performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, supports patient safety, and provides high‑quality customer service. The role requires flexibility, including occasional call, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities- Prepare and position patients for imaging exams, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Perform radiologic procedures following established protocols and regulatory standards.
- Maintain image quality, accurate documentation, and timely submission to PACS.
- Use appropriate radiation safety practices for patients and staff.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and general care needs.
- Monitor and maintain imaging equipment; report issues as needed.
- Complete administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and EMR entries.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and support department operations.
- Cross‑train in additional modalities such as CT, DEXA, or mammography (training available).
- Participate in call rotation with a required 30‑minute response time.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, providers, and team members.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT certification (or registry eligible).
- State Radiologic Technologist licensure (or ability to obtain).
- BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
- 1–3 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome.
- CT experience is a plus; training available for those without prior CT skills.
- Knowledge of radiologic procedures, equipment, safety, and anatomy.
- IV competency and familiarity with contrast imaging.
- Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and adapt to changing demands.
- Competent in EMR systems and basic computer use.
- Commitment to confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
- Frequent walking, standing, and lifting to assist patients.
- Regular use of computers and imaging equipment.
- Occasional exposure to radiation, bodily fluids, and emergency situations (with appropriate PPE).
- Interaction with diverse patient populations and clinical teams.
